Join us in the Library Green Room on Wednesday, March 13 from 1:00-2:00pm to hear from Sylvia Earle, a winner of the TED Prize (a $1 million prize to support high-impact ideas). After listening to Sylvia Earle’s talk, “My Wish: Protect Our Oceans,” we’ll discuss it together with moderator questions from Hanna Begnell to spur our thoughts.
Here’s how the TED website describes her talk: “Legendary ocean researcher Sylvia Earle shares astonishing images of the ocean — and shocking stats about its rapid decline — as she makes her TED Prize wish: that we will join her in protecting the vital blue heart of the planet.”
The TED Talk screening & discussion series is co-hosted by the Library and the Housing & Residence Life departments. If you have any questions, please contact Hanna Begnell (hbegnell@csum.edu) or Margot Hanson (mhanson@csum.edu) for more information.
